Our mission is to provide support, products, information and solutions for parents who have children with Special Needs. We are here to help.
He spent 1 month in traction, and then came home in a body cast for another month. He had to learn how to walk and talk again. Little did we know that this would have lasting effects on our son. We soon saw changes that we couldn't explain.
At age 9 we found that he had Sensory Integration Dysfunction, and at age 13 Brain Damage which included a wide range of disabilities. After being diagnosed with SID I decided that maybe I could improve his quality of life with sensory activities. We do not have a large space, so I decided that creating a sensory box would help. This box turned out to be a life saver! Portable, and easy to store and filled with a variety of figits, it became his favorite things to play with. Along with our daily routine to keep him active, the sensory box became a big hit!
I decided to try to help other children with these assortment of fidgets and weighted cushions. I have made some for children that I have worked with as an Special Needs Educational Assistant. I have seen what a difference these items can make in a child's day.
